Sterling Pumps acquired United Pumps in June 2020 to create a new partnership capable of delivering an exceptional range of high quality pumps for the water, oil, gas and mining sectors, designed and built in its extensive Pakenham and Sunshine manufacturing and testing facilities.

Manufactured to the highest international standards, using automated CNC machinery for maximum precision and a combination of high quality Australian and imported materials, Sterling Pumps and United Pumps consistently deliver long service life in even the most demanding applications, including mining, agriculture. oil, gas, pit and mine dewatering. 

They also offer a large range of pumping products and solutions designed for the municipal water and agriculture sectors, and which are ideal for a variety of applications, from pumping water from rivers, bores, creeks or dams, to pressure boosting centre and lateral pivots, to frost protection, filling of tanks and dams.

As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Sterling Pumps design and manufacture vertical line shaft turbine pumps in cast iron, bronze or stainless steel for use in agriculture, as well as submersible turbine pumps and motors available in cast iron, bronze and 316SS, and fabricated stainless steel pumps in 304SS and 316SS.

In addition to its range of standard pumps, which includes ballast pumps, submersible turbine pumps and horizontal multistage pumps, Sterling Pumps can also deliver custom pumping solutions for vertical line shaft, submersible turbine and split case pumps.

The range also features engineered API 610 rated pumps for the oil and gas industry, renowned for their durability and reliability, including Vertically Suspended Pumps (VS 1-7 type), Overhung Pumps (OH 1-5 type) and Between Bearing pumps (BB 1-5 type).
