Site Servicing Team

Site Servicing Team

The FITT Resources Site Servicing Team is an end-to-end project team committed to repairing, servicing and overhauling mechanical pumps, and returning them to a state as close to new as possible.

We undertake on-site overhaul, maintenance and repair of submersible, centrifugal and positive displacement pumping units, along with compressors, turbines and rotating equipment.

FITT Resources has a network of workshops and repair facilities underpinning our wide-ranging on-site pump servicing capability, where we are equipped to carry out comprehensive pump overhauls and repairs, along with complete pump rebuilds.

Our team of project managers, engineers, technical and trade specialists has wide ranging experience and skills, and is committed to improving the operating reliability and life-span of all types of multi-stage pumps, self-priming pumps, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps and wastewater pumping systems.

We work in partnership with customers to find solutions that deliver long-term equipment reliability, thereby minimising downtime and reducing the total cost of ownership. This is because there are significant cost benefits to refurbishing existing plant and extending its operating life as opposed to simply replacing it.

FITT Resources partners with operators across a range of industries, including water and sewage, mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, marine, tunnelling and civil construction, and overhaul, service and repair all types of mechanical pumps:

  • Heavy duty agitator pumps
  • Water pumps
  • Sewage pumps
  • Grit pumps
  • Super duty and high head electric pumps
  • Hydraulic dredge pumps
  • Drainage pumps
  • Sludge pumps
  • Slurry pumps
  • Stainless steel pumps
  • Turbomachinery
  • Steam turbines
  • Multi-stage pumps

On-site Pump Servicing

FITT Resources undertakes on-site pump servicing, repairs and maintenance for operators in all industries and sectors. This includes rebuild, refurbishment, overhaul and commissioning services for all types of pumps, as well as shut down maintenance and installation services.

We are also happy to provide free onsite pump inspections and advice, along with free quotes for any in-workshop servicing and overhaul work required, along with a 12 or 24 month warranty on pump servicing and rebuilds.

The FITT Resources team has extensive engineering skills and a diverse range of capabilities that means we can provide a one-stop service and total solutions. Our aim is always to partner with clients to find bespoke engineering solutions that deliver cost-effective performance throughout the life cycle of assets, reducing delays and downtime, saving money and getting valuable plant and machinery up and running again at full capacity.

In addition, we provide full reporting with root cause analysis on all mechanical pump repair, rebuild and refurbishment projects, as well as pre-delivery testing, ongoing logistics support, and complete service and repair backup.

Pump monitoring and maintenance services

We develop bespoke maintenance programs in close partnership with operators that are designed to deliver long-term equipment reliability that minimises costly downtime.

Regular monitoring and maintenance services, such as inspection, refurbishment and upgrade, are essential to the ongoing efficiency of mechanical pumps, ensuring that potential problems like abrasion, corrosion and pressure do not have the chance to build up, and are dealt with efficiently and in a cost effective manner.

Our team identify these and similar problems before they develop into serious issues through monitoring changes in system and pump conditions, and taking preemptive action when required to avoid equipment having to be taken out of service.

FITT Resources technicians can also devise solutions that help optimise operating capability and cost effectiveness by improving overall energy use and efficiency. This can be achieved through eliminating losses in energy and ensuring that equipment is running at its best efficiency point (BEP) by identifying, re-engineering or replacing components that are having an adverse effect on energy consumption and output.

Site Servicing Team Capabilities

The experience, training and capability of our technicians means that we are able to undertake a wide variety of repair and overhaul services for pumps and others assets.

FITT Resources also has a proven track record when it comes to safety management, as well as the ability consistently to meet response time requirements when it comes to logistics and inventory supply.

In addition, as a team we continually show an exceptional ability to innovate and adapt to new and emerging technologies, which is why we are able to create customised solutions to meet client’s specific needs and operational requirements.

Committed to first rate response capability

We understand the importance of being able to meet customers’ response time requirements in terms of the collection and assessment of pumps, and the supply of components. We have put robust systems in place with regard to our onsite servicing and workshop operations, logistics, inventory supply, and our ability to maintain quality of service.

Quality components and efficient supply chains

We are committed to ensuring product and component quality, accompanied by the highest standards of ongoing support.

Products we supply are tested to conform to OEM specs, and we have established effective systems and logistic that mean we are consistently able to meet supply requirements in terms of inventory management and our overall supply chain arrangements.

Quality management

FITT Resources is proud to have obtained ISO 45001 certification, demonstrating our commitment to Occupational Health and Safety Management, and workplace safety, both when undertaking onsite repairs and maintenance work, as well as in our own workshops.

We are also accredited against the international standard Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2015. This recognises that our quality management systems and business operations are efficient, productivity levels are maximised, and that our business practices have minimal impact on the environment.

Sustainable procurement practices

We place an emphasis on making sustainable procurement decisions, and providing equipment, materials, training, personnel and other resources that comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.

OEM parts and components

We are committed to finding the best possible solutions and ensuring that all equipment and machinery is fit for purpose. Thus means that we carry a large amount of commonly required OEM spare parts, and if not in stock we can work closely with our supply partners to provide products that meet your operation requirements.

Our professional, knowledgeable and experienced team can supply OEM spare parts for all types of mechanical pumps and components. We can also engineer and supply customised components that are interchangeable with OEM, but more cost effective and engineered to higher standards.

Protective coatings for pumps

Pump operation is significantly enhanced through the application of protective coatings, which protect pumps from chemicals, erosion and abrasion, or other damage caused by demanding Australian work environments.

Protective coatings also increase efficiency and extend a pump’s operating life by reducing the frictional resistance to flow, improving the hydro-dynamic conditions of the interior, thereby reducing wear.

Protective coating is a cost effective way of reducing energy use through increased efficiency, as well as extending a pump’s operating life.
